During the survey a total of 29 insect species were recorded belonging to 20 insect families and 9 orders viz., Blattodea (Isoptera), Coleoptera, Diptera, Hemiptera, Hymenoptera, Lepidoptera, Odonata, Orthoptera and Thysanoptera. The insect families observed were Acrididae, Apidae, Coreidae, Curculionidae, Halictidae, Libellulidae, Lygaeidae, Megachilidae, Meloidae, Miridae, Muscidae, Noctuidae, Pentatomidae,Pyralidae, Pyrgomorphidae, Scarabaeidae, Syrphidae, Termitidae, Thripidae and Ulidiidae. The maximum relative abundance of 26.69% was recorded for hemipteran insects which comprised of maximum number of families; whereas, minimum relative abundance was recorded for thysanoptera (3.54%).
