Abstract

Present study was conducted for safety evaluation of chlorantraniliprole + triflumezopyrim against major predators in rice ecosystem. A short duration red bold rice variety, Jyothi (PTB 39) was grown and the treatments were 76, 85.5, 95 and 104.5 g a.i./ha of chlorantraniliprole 0.5% + triflumezopyrim 0.45%, chlorantraniliprole 0.4% GR @ 40 g a.i./ha, triflumezopyrim 10.6% SC @ 25 g a.i./ha, chlorantraniliprole (0.5%) + thiamethoxam (1.0%) GR @ 90 g a.i./ha (chemical check) and an untreated control. The pooled results revealed the safety of the new combo product, chlorantraniliprole + triflumezopyrim @ 0.95% GR towards damselfly, spiders and green mirid bug and higher grain yield per plot (4711 kg/ha) was also recorded.
