Abstract

The results revealed that two applications of flonicamid have been found most promising in reduction on incidence of mango hopper, enhancing yield and income of the farmers as compare to other insecticides viz imidacloprid, thiamethoxam, fenobucarb and pymetrozine applied in the studies. Among various insecticides, flonicamid received lowest incidence of mango hopper which ranged from 1.84 to 2.35% in all the three varieties namely, Dasheri, Langra and Chausa in 2021. Almost same trend on incidence of mango hopper was observed during 2022. Similarly, yield was also maximum in flonicamid treated orchards which varied from 146.58 q/ ha to 181.75 q/ha in 2021 in all the three varieties of mango. The yield obtained in all the three varieties of mango during 2022 showed similar result as of 2021. Consequently, net income of Rs. 3.37 lacs/ha, Rs. 3.08 lacs/ha and Rs. 4.48 lacs/ha were recorded in Dasheri, Langra and Chausa varieties of mango, respectively in 2021 which was almost similar to 2022.
