The family Coreidae, under order Heteroptera, includes medium to large sized bugs, whose pronotum is highly distinctive in different genera of coreid members. By looking at the pronotum of members of different genera, we can identify the particular genus, because the shape and structure of the pronotum is drastically different. A key for the comparison of different genera is provided along with photographs of the pronotum.
