Innovative Advisory through ICT Based E-Pest Surveillance through CROPSAP and HORTSAP for management of fields and horticulture crops pests has been developed. Horticulture Pest Surveillance and Advisory Project” (HORTSAP) monitors pest and disease activity and issues timely, eco-friendly integrated pest management advisories for fruit crops such as sweet orange, mandarin orange, pomegranate, mango, sapota, banana, okra, and tomato. This aims to minimize pesticide residue contamination, address environmental concerns, and manage quarantine issues. Through a consortium approach, the project focuses on pest monitoring, surveillance-based advisories, and awareness creation for major crops, providing integrated pest management recommendations based on pest status. This study emphasizes strengthening information delivery mechanisms for efficient agricultural knowledge management. New communication methods, especially for advisory services, are crucial. The study highlights the application of innovative online surveillance for pest and disease management.
