Present study was conducted based on reports from environmental health experts of student dormitories regarding the frequent occurrence of arthropods and subsequent nuisance in the University of Medical Sciences student dormitories from 2019 to 2023. Census sampling was used. The samples of the biting agent and the report of the subsequent skin irritations were transferred to the entomology laboratory and identified using a stereo microscope. The type of contamination was confirmed and the data was analyzed by taking photos of the victims. The most health nuisances caused by pests were reported as bites caused by bed bugs, Culicidae (mosquitoes), Psychodidae (sandflies) and fleas, ticks, lice and spiders. Domestic cockroaches, especially German and American species, were also reported to be active in this area. Sometimes, Solifugae, scorpions, and snakes are frightening to students. Dormitory health experts have reported the activity of health pests and damages caused by bed bugs, mosquitoes, ticks and lice. Improvement and renovation amelioration and renovation of dormitory environments, installing nets on windows and controlling entrances and complying with health standards can reduce the frequency of nuisance and injuries caused by pests.
