Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the population dynamics of red plam weevil in Kachchh, Gujarat, using pheromone traps from 2020 to 2024. Results indicated a distinct seasonal pattern, with peak populations observed during post-monsoon and early winter (September to December) while lower population were recorded in the summer months (April to June). A rising trend in RPW populations was noted in recent years, with the highest monthly mean population of 18.43 recorded in December.
