The efficacy of different insecticides with different doses (imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 0.4, 0.8 and 1.2 ml per litre, thiamethoxam 25 WG @ 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9 g per litre, spinosad 45 SC @ 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 ml per litre, buprofezin 25 EC @ 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 ml per litre, azadirachtin 1% @ 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0 ml per litre and control) were evaluated against leaf gall former Pauropsylla tuberculata Crawford (Psyllidae: Hemiptera) on Alstonia scholaris (L.) R. Br. in a field study. The insecticides exhibited varying degrees of effectiveness in controlling P. tuberculata when compared to untreated control. After first spray and second spray, thiamethoxam 25 WG resulted in maximum nymphal population reduction over control @ 0.6 g/l (100%) and buprofezin 25 EC @ 2.0 ml/l resulted in minimum nymphal population reduction over control (14.17%).
