Abstract

Now-a-days a large number of molecular markers are available for the study of molecular taxonomy, ecological studies, systematics and genetic biodiversity studies. DNA based markers have been widely used in molecular systematics and population genetics studies of insects during the past few years. The various markers used are DNA barcoding, microsatellite loci, RAPD, RFLP, DNA sequencing etc.
