The efficacy of different barriers (tobacco leaf powder, garlic + fly ash, onion + fly ash, neem seed powder, lime, tobacco leaf powder + lime and copper sulfate) against giant African snail (Achatina fulica) was studied under laboratory conditions. Experiment was carried out by applying barriers in arena surrounding the soil. The effect of different treatment was significant. The results showed that lime and copper sulfate were found to be significantly superior physical barrier materials for restricting the crossing and higher mortality against giant African snail.
