Evaluation of phenolic and antioxidant properties of honey obtained from bee species from three different regions in the Western Himalaya

Abstract

Honey is a miraculous product of nature prepared by honeybees from floral nectar and juices. It has been given the status of Amrut in the Indian Vedas. The current study focus upon phenolic and antioxidant potential of honey collected from three different locations. Results revealed that all the samples possessed a normal range of phenolic content and exhibited strong antioxidant properties.
