Three new host records for the invasive African fig fly Zaprionus indianus Gupta, 1970 (Diptera: Drosophilidae) from Bihar, India have been made. They are: Litchi chinensis Sonn. (Sapindaceae), Artocarpus lacucha Buch.-Ham. (Moraceae), commonly known as Monkey jack and Neolamarckia cadamba (Roxb.) Bosser commonly known as burflower tree. Specimens were collected from ripe/overripe fruit samples from Nawada, Gaya and East-Champaran districts of Bihar, during different months of 2025. These observations expand the known host range of recently reported for invasive species pest Z. indianus in India and highlight the potential implications for fruit production and post-harvest losses in the region. We provide detailed collection records, diagnostic characters, ecological notes, and recommendations for monitoring and management.
