Abstract

Education plays a pivotal role in empowering women by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to participate fully in society. It serves as a catalyst for their individual growth and societal advancement. Education and social justice are deeply intertwined concepts that have significant implications for individuals, communities, and societies as a whole. At its core, education is often viewed as a fundamental human right and a key mechanism for promoting social justice. This paper also tries to explore the sociological perspective on how education empowers women, the barriers they face in accessing education, and the transformative potential of education in challenging gender inequalities. In India, the nexus between education and women’s empowerment is profound and multifaceted. This article explores the multifaceted relationship between education and women’s empowerment, examining both the opportunities it unlocks and the barriers it helps to overcome. This article further delves into the transformative role that education plays in empowering women across various spheres of Indian society.
