Etiology and perpetuation of black root rot of chickpea in Himachal Pradesh

Abstract

Three pathogens were isolated from infected samples of chickpea obtained from local fields. Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceri and Fusarium solani were found associated with root rot/wilt complex. F. solani was the predominant pathogen which was found to perpetuate through seed, soil and plant debris.
