Abstract

Seventeen genotypes of soybean were evaluated in randomized block design over six environments (three years and two locations) and observations were recorded for eight quantitative traits namely, plant height, primary branches/plant, secondary branches/plant, days to 50% flowering, days to maturity, pods/plant, pod length, seeds/pod and seed yield. ‘MAUS 47’ and ‘VL Soya 2’ were found stable across the environments. Moreover, ‘Himso 1580’, Shivalik and ‘Punjab 1’ could be considered stable on the basis of higher average response for many characters.
