Effect of integrated nutrient management on yield attributes, yield and NPK uptake in garden pea (Pisum sativum L.) in acid Alfisol
Abstract
The effect of integrated nutrient management was studied on yield attributes, seed yield and nutrient uptake in garden pea (Pisum sativum L.) ‘Palam Priya’ in an acid alfisol of Himachal Pradesh under irrigated conditions. Application of FYM or vermicompost @10 t/ha in combination with 75% NPK (on par with 100% NPK) produced significantly higher yield of both green pod and stover over that in NPK or FYM alone. Integrated nutrient management (INM) through application of FYM or vermicompost in combination with 75% NPK enhanced N, P and K uptake by garden pea as compared to organics or 100% NPK alone. Seeds per pod and shelling percentage were however, significantly higher in 100% NPK combined with FYM or vermicompost over other INM levels.
