Abstract

Various furrow opening techniques in combination with soybean varieties were tried for management of water stress at Regional Research Centre, Dr. PDKV, Amravati during 2008–2011. The study revealed that although furrow opening after three rows was similar with others in terms of number of branches, pods and test weight yet, the above treatment showed significantly higher seed yield (1385 kg/ha), gross (INR 28384/ha), net monetary returns (INR 16884/ha) and B:C ratio (2.46) over the furrow opening after 6 rows, 9 rows and flat sowing. Different soybean varieties and interaction effects involving furrow opening and varieties were found to be non-significant.
