The antifungal activity of fifty plants sample was assessed against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceris, a causal organism of Fusarium wilt of chickpea. The results showed a differential activity of the plant extracts against the mycelium growth. In general the combined root extracts of Acacia catechu and leaf extracts of Lawsonia alba showed a strong enhancement in activities over the individual root extracts of Acacia catechu and leaf extracts of Lawsonia alba against the mycelium growth of test fungus. The seed extracts of Acacia arabicae, rhizome extracts of Curcuma domastica, seed extracts of Azadirachta indica, leaf extracts of Aegle marmelos, leaf extracts of Dedonia viscosa, leaf extracts of Euphorbia hirta, seed extracts of Euclyptus globolus, leaf extracts of Ocimum sanctum also showed strong inhibitory effect against the tested fungi. The leaf extracts of Adhatoda vasica, Clerodendron inerme, Ficus bengalensis, Ficus religiosa, Lantana macrophylae, Ocimum basilicum, seed extracts of Mimosa hamata and petal extracts of Lantana camera showed appreciable good inhibitory effect against the tested fungi.
