Abstract

The reports of chemical examination in poisoning cases are the documentary evidence for which the Chemical Examiners are not required to prove in the courts of law under the provision of the Criminal Procedure Code of 1973. But these reports may not always be as authentic as is usually considered by the medicolegal personal or the courts. The authenticity of the chemical examination reports has been discussed in a case study which also highlights the importance of medico-clinical evidence.
