Diazepam is a commonly used drug in India and at times it is used indiscrimately. A girl of 8 years died immediately after giving sedation by 5 mg intravenous diazepam. On this body, the autopsy and chemical analysis were performed so confirmed the cause of death as shock due to intravenous diazepam injection.
