Various subjective parameters have been tried in the past for determination of sex from human skull. In the present study, different cranial suture measurements were taken form 95 adult human skull of both sexes, belonging to the inhabitants of state of Orissa in a recent state while conducting the post-mortem examination during the period 1998 to 2000. It was found that there were significant difference in coronal suture length and height between the sexes and relying on these parameters sex can be determined up to 83.2% accuracy in our study. Basing on this result, it is possible to determine sex with given degree of probability from the coronal suture length for a particular height.
