A post mortem study of 430 cases of vehicular accidents was carried out over ten years in the Dept, of Forensic Medicine, R.M.C. of P.M.T. Loni. An attempt is made to analyze data in epidemiological manner. Study showed male predominance (81.4%) High accident rate in third decade (32.5%) followed by second decade (20.0%). Pedestrian were the commonest victim 120 (27.9%) followed by jeep passengers 100 (23.3%) and bicyclists (16.3%). Truck claimed the greatest number of lives (54.4%) followed by jeep. Maximum number of victims were injured during office time i.e. 9 AM–5 PM. Maximum victims were involved in accident during September and August. Human error was the sole cause of an accident in 85.3% cases.
