Abstract

The present study was conducted in the department of Forensic Medicine during the period of May 1999 to April 2000 on 300 (200 males and 100 females), young and healthy students in the age group of 18–22 years studying in the schools and colleges of Delhi including UCMS & GTB Hospital, Shahdara. The percutaneous length of tibia, of both the sides was measured seperately. Indepedent linear and curvilinear regression equations were derived for the purpose of stature reconstruction. It was concluded that these can be used with reasonable degree of accuracy for estimation of stature.
