Abstract

A case of acute abdominal pain without any history of trauma or previous illness showed an artificial partial denture on the X-ray of the abdomen. The treatment was advocated only when sufficient harm had been produced by the foreign body. Ignorance on the part of the patient delayed the prompt treatment and ultimately it led to a fatal outcome. The case is presented in this paper because of its rare occurrence and also of its possible medicolegal implications.
