Histological study was conducted on 100 subjects of both sexes (M-50, F-50) from the compact portion of tibia to observe changes in the diameter of the haversian canals. In majority of the cases it was observed that diameter of haversian canal decreased with age. However there was no significant difference in the diameter of right and left side and between males and females.
