The nature of substances of drug abuse has shifted from simple plant malerials to their active chemicals. Drug mafias are devising continuously means to evade existing laws as drug trade involves huge money. Incidentally, designer drugs have come as a big shot in their arms. Being effective to produce desired psychological and physiological effects down in microgram level, designer drugs call for a total new type of technology to deal with their problems. It calls for new ways to handle designer drugs, interpretation of their effects on human beings, their detection in biological fluids and continuously upgrading NDPS act by including new substances immediately.
