Abstract

This paper gives guidelines for auditing autopsies in day today practice. Every department has a desire to achieve the best. To make a comparative comment, one has to be clear about basic needs of a particular case. In this article, all the major points for a particular death scenario have been included to simply the issue. In the end of every topic, one check list is given to make the job easier and ready made for use. These can be adopted by any autopsy center with little modifications according to local practice and facilities. These will be helpful for learners to learn as what to do, to evaluators as how and what to evaluate in a particular case. In this regard, an attempt has been made to formulate guidelines for postmortem examinations which can be relevant to Asian countries keeping the required objectives and practical aspects in mind.
