The present paper highlighted the incidence of death from homicidal blunt force injuries which was 6.27% of total homicide. Male: female ratio was 14:1 and commonly occurred in age group 31–40 years (30%), married, farmers and of low socio-economic class (63.3%). Most common motive was sudden provocation (23.4%), followed by mob attack (20%). Maximum external injury was on head and neck; contusion was the most common external mechanical injury. Defense wounds were present in 43.3% of the victims. Cause of death in majority of cases were due to head injury (60%) followed by shock and haemorrhage (36.7%).
