Abstract

In this paper a case is being reported about a security personnel who has alleged to have been committed suicide by using his own service rifle. The deceased was brought with two near contact wounds on the right side of face. The multiplicity of near contact wounds at different places was not in favour of suicide. So the case was preliminarily suspected to be murder. But on analysis of the case from various angles and corroborative findings gathered from the police and other relevant sources, revealed it as a case of suicide. The detailed analysis of the case has been highlighted in this paper.
