Abstract

An accident between a bicycle and the Bajaj scooter resulted in fatal injury to a 11 year old boy (cyclist). The rear footrest of the scooter was broken down, pierced the skull of the boy and resulted in death. This case is being published as the fatality from the rear footrest (accessory part) of the scooter, situated at a lower level is not often encountered in routine medico-legal practice and also probably not reported in the past.
