Cases of blood chimerism are the ones which pose difficulty in detection or diagnosis and at times they might misguide the investigation. Blood chimera happens when twins exchange bloodstem cells. Some times there may not be any history in a chimera proband which is suggestive of twin pregnancy, rarely even DNA analysis may not detect these chimeras resulting in misjudging the truth.
