Abstract

An attempt has been made for different aspects of Thin Layer Chromatography which is the most commonly used basic tool by the forensic toxicologist/chemist for the analysis of different forensic samples such as drugs & poisons, explosives, pesticides, alkaloids, tranquillizers, petroleum products etc. This article gives an indepth insight into the scientific aspects of TLC, its usefulness in forensic toxicology and its legal standing.
