To predict exact age of injury always remains a puzzle in the medical field because of wide range of variability occurring grossly during their healing process. Here a study on 60 injuries (30 each of abrasion and laceration) along with control done to compare between the gross and histopathological changes that occurred during their healing. Special stain (Van Gieson's connective tissue stain) alongwith routine H&E staining was used for this purpose. The results confirm the superiority of microscopic findings over naked eye changes.
