Content Analysis of Selected Kannada Newspapers

Abstract

The present study was conducted in Haveri district of Karnataka state. Three popular Kannada newspapers (Prajavani, Vijayavani and Udayavani) were selected for study based on their highest circulation for the period of 9 months (April to December) for content analysis. Data were collected from Monday and Tuesday. Only agriculture information published in agriculture column during selected time were countable part of the study. The result clearly showed that space provided for the agriculture information was very less (5.72%) from three selected newspapers. Prajavani provided more space (7.67%) for agriculture information when compared to other two newspapers.
