Abstract

A study on “Utilization of Information and Communication Technology tools by the KVK functionaries in Mizoram” was carried out to assess the current uses of ICTs in agricultural extension programmes by the KVK functionaries. This study was conducted in all eight districts of Mizoram and all the KVKs were purposively selected for the study. This study mainly focused on the level of utilization and accessibility of ICT tools by the KVK functionaries. This study found that there was a moderate level of utilization and accessibility of ICT tools by the KVK functionaries. Most of the ICT tools were used for gaining information. Television and mobile were the most used ICT tools as compared to other ICT tools. Inappropriate infrastructure and poor internet connectivity were a huge drawback to the Utilization of ICT tools for the dissemination of information.
