The study was designed to assess the gender participation and constraints of Tenyi Vo Pig farmers of Kohima and Peren Districts of Nagaland. Fifty farmers from each district were selected randomly and interviewed with the help of a structured, pre-tested, reliable and valid interview schedule. Results of analysis revealed that the majority of the work on Tenyivo rearing was done by females. Higher price of quality feed (296), unavailability of piglets at the right time (259), unavailability of veterinary services (230), cost of veterinary medicines (225) were the main constraints faced by the respondents and were ranked 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
