Innovation is change. Change comes about through deliberate planning on evident situation needs. During the Covid-19 pandemic, innovation was called for in order to meet the needs in the workplace. During the pandemic, the role of media and social media was crucial, as people were hungry for news and information in order to attend urgent health conditions and continue to work to maintain the family. This paper is based on some literature on the issue in some countries. Compounding such studies with workers and professionals, through exploratory works, especially in Paraguay, it was found that communication played a vital role in motivating and mobilizing resources towards meeting family and working needs. The review shows that communication, people‘s initiatives and creativity helped adjust to extreme situations and get on with life. Innovation during the pandemic was not just a simple but an urgent need. Communication, especially television and social media played their part in the diffusion of innovation during the pandemic.
