Abstract

In filmmaking the integration of AI technologies like MOCOBOT has revolutionised workflows and enhanced visual storytelling in both Hollywood and Tamil films. In this study, we tend to explore how these technologies are used differently across the two industries. Tamil films such as ‘Vikram’ and ‘Beast’, and Hollywood films ‘Inception” and ‘Gravity’ are dealt with to illustrate their impact on narrative dynamics and cinematic techniques. In Hollywood films such as ‘Inception’ and ‘Gravity’ employ AI in cinematography layered into immersive struggles and psychological depth. The exploration of subconscious realms in ‘Inception’. Techniques like long takes and practical effects immerse viewers in existential themes and character challenges, as seen in the struggle for survival in ‘Gravity’. These approaches highlight Hollywood’s emphasis on thematic complexity and emotional resonance, using AI to craft compelling narratives that resonate on multiple levels. In Tamil films, exemplified by ‘Beast’ and ‘Vikram’, MOCOBOT plays a pivotal role in capturing precise camera movements. These technologies are deployed to emphasise dramatic narrative shifts in key plots, such as the protagonist’s transformation and victory. By enhancing the visual impact of key moments, Tamil films achieve strong emotional engagement with audiences, leveraging AI-driven cinematography to heighten dramatic tension and resolution. This study employs survey method and discourse analysis of AI-integrated films to explore audience perceptions and production variations between Hollywood and Tamil films. Findings underscore the differing roles of AI in enhancing creativity and production efficiency, balancing technological advancements with human creative input to set new standards for cinematic excellence. As AI continues to evolve, its integration promises further advancements in both industries, shaping the future of filmmaking with innovative techniques and immersive cinematic experiences.
