Abstract

This paper explores localism in communication for the development of developing countries. In addition, the paper examines the philosophy or principle of development communication in sustaining the process of development as well as political participation in a democratic nation. The paper draws attention to the various localized channels of communicating development messages in relations to their significance. The author then concludes with the need for a paradigm shift to the use of localism in communication for the development of developing countries.
