Women carry out almost all the farming activities either by way of self-doing, supervising and assisting. Enhancing their work efficiency in different farming systems will definitely help in boosting up farm production. The present situation demands active participation of women along with men in all walks of life to have better involvement of women in all development activities demands a proper understanding of the information processing behaviour of farm women who have undergone training especially through Krishi Vigyan Kendras. With this background, a study was undertaken to assess the informing processing behaviour of women farm science club members.
A sample of 120 women farm science club members functioning under Virudhachalam, KVK in Tamil Nadu was selected at random. Their information processing behaviour was assessed under five sub-divisions viz., interpretation, analysis, understanding, information evaluation and storage activities. Simple percentage analysis was worked out for interpretation of results. The findings of the study revealed that their pattern of interpretation understanding and storage of information was found to be less.
