The profile of the multimedia application expecting teachers for higher agricultural education

Abstract

New technologies are dramatically altering every aspect of life from work to education. Multimedia technologies are providing innovative and exciting teaching tools. During the twenty-first century, we need to explore the potential of new multimedia technology for developing multicultural education by enhancing the educational process. The study was conducted at Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat, India, to know the profile of the multimedia user teachers. The study revealed that majority of the multimedia user teachers were middle aged, had Ph.D. degrees, received their last latest degree with distinction, had medium level of teaching experience, were from rural back ground, had basic knowledge of operating MS word, had above four years of experience of computer exposure, had above two years experience of Internet exposure, had positive attitude towards teaching, had low level of involvement in students’ activity and had a minimum one or two times of library contact in a week.
