The reality of any event is largely constructed through the discourse about the event. The perspective developed through such discourse like international news, influences global reaction to the event. This international news reported online for immediate global consumption offers a new challenge for journalists in developing the socio-political narrative of news from their individual subject position. Then how this online news reporting at present is shaping the readers’ perspective of international politics? The study analyses news published during the initial two months of Arab uprising in 2010–2011 by popular newspapers’ sites from India and Pakistan. The result of the content analysis is then placed against a series of open-ended interviews with editors from South Asia and Asia-Pacific region to correlate the reporting judgment with the report. The result of the study not only presents a biased international news flow and global order, but also the elements of bias in developing political discourse.
