Abstract

The era of globalization offinancial services refers to integration for providers offinancial services in this borderless world. With globalization the activities of the providers of financial services need not be limited to their country oforigin and operation. Due to liberalization of the economy a business house has many options for its financing. It can seek assistance around the globe for a loan with a lower interest rate and more convenient term & conditions or it can raise funds by issuing appropriate securities in this borderless world. It can also hedge against possible risks by choosing from a variety of derivatives products available in the global market. There are several forces that have driven the globalization offinancial services which influence advancement in computing & communication, technology, globalization of the national economies & liberalization of several restrictions placed on cross border trade and investment. The rules, regulation and policy governing this borderless world capital movement through financial market is deepening and widening. Globalization lead to change in overall economic progresssuch as communication, information technology, rapid progress in transportation, international institutions and agreements; strong commitments to globalization, etc., have resulted to significant economic and financial interconnectedness between nations and markets, which in effect have created a “BORDERLESS WORLD “, thus intend to create a consumer friendly environment. The upsurge in the global financial market has impelled Indian market to flourish in the direction of global wind blows.
