E-Interaction in higher education institutions refers to two way interaction between the management and all the stakeholders. The stakeholders be it students, parents, teachers, non-teaching staff or the society, all want the institutions to be interactive. They want their queries and grievances to be addressed with a click ofmouse. Be it teachers or students, both see e-Governance as the new way of learning. Given the impetus and pressure from the government most of the institutions be public or private, technical or nontechnical have incorporated e-Governance initiatives to a certain extent. However, the success of these initiatives depends on their implementation which further depends upon the e-readiness of institution offering these services. If the institution fails to offer adequate infrastructure to support these services then students and other stakeholders will find it hard to benefit from these e- services. The paper seeks to analyse the various e-services offered by the higher education institutions, and also further evaluate whether the services offered differ across private and government institutions.
