Abstract

Organizational culture greatly influences employee behaviour. The aim of this study is to find out how organizational culture influences employee s performance. To gauge the influence, a well structured questionnaire was circulated among 200 IT employees in Dehradun IT Knowledge Park. The results ofthis study indicated that organizational culture mainly impacts motivation, promotes individual learning, affects communication, and improves organizational values, group decision making and solving conflicts. Organizational culture is a very complicatedphenomenon and is formed by widely shared set of beliefs within an organization and as globalization has been increasing over the period of time so has been the diversity in the organizations and hence opting for appropriate organizational culture has become a more difficult task. Culture of the organization is something that can predominantly ground the performance of the employees in the workplace. The main purpose of this paper is to review the various sort of cultures in an organization and to review the connection between organizational culture and employee’s performance.
