With the formation of World Trade Organization (WTO), global trade received the much needed push to gain momentum. Along with growth in trade across sectors, international trade in food has also increased and the treiyl is expected to continue. However, a noticeable change is that in the last few decades, the developing countries have started exporting value-added agricultural products vis-a-vis bulk raw tnaterials, leading to change in the composition of agriculture and food exports from developing countries. The change is significant for developing countries especially in Asia as majority of their population is dependent on agriculture for livelihood. The present work endeavours to identify the factors influencing processed food exports from select Asian Developing Countries (ADCs), using econometric analysis. The results suggest that size of the home market, openness of the economy, foreign direct investment and infrastructure are the determinants influencing exports of processed food products from Asian Developing Countries.
