Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are an important component of the economy of a country. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) offers tremendous opportunities for the growth and development of SMEs. A number of researchers have tried to explore and investigate various dimensions of the association between ICT and SMEs. Small firm e-business themes that have been investigated include Internet usage, website adoption, application of ICT in various operations and processes of SMEs, overcoming barriers to ICT adoption, models of e-business development, and achieving competitive advantage through e-business development. This paper makes an attempt to link various recent researches to present an integrated picture.
