Human resource management policies and practices and its impact on employee’s overall job satisfaction in banking industry - with special reference to Moradabad city

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore potential impact of Human Resource Management practices on employee’s Job Satisfaction. The research hypotheses are tested using sample data collected from 225 employees of 10 banks in Moradabad. It was found that practices like work ambience, work autonomy, performance appraisal, career growth, work relationship, remuneration and training and development have positive relation with employees’ overall job satisfaction. For testing the hypothesis, correlation and multiple regression analysis were used, which showed a positive relationship of HRM policies and practices with employee job satisfaction.
