Borax applied at the rate of 0.4% in mid February and 1st week of May as a foliar application, resulted in highest fruits set (59.00) per panicle, fruit retention (22.58%), fruit yield (18.08 kg tree−1), lowest fruit drop (77.42%) and fruit cracking (7.47%) indicating better response of plants to foliar application of boron as borax @ 0.4%.
