Twenty seven intact yearling goats were purchased with average initial weight of 23.8±1.95 kg with the objectives of evaluating the growth potential and economic return of wheat bran and noug seed cake supplements for Woito-Guji goats. All goats were castrated using burdizo giving fifteen days rest after purchase and before experimentation. The fattening trial was conducted at Arba Minch University, Kulfo Campus. The treatments include (T1) control (only grazing), (T2) grazing plus 350 DM g/day (69% wheat bran, 30% noug seed cake and 1% salt mixtures), (T3) grazing plus 350 DM g/day (40% noug seed cake, 59% wheat bran and 1% salt mixtures). Supplements were changed weekly based on body weight. RCBD was used in assigning treatments randomly based on initial weight. General Linear Model (GLM) procedure and Dunkan`s multiple range test were used for the mean separation. The feeding trial showed that a live weight change of goats in T3, and T2 were significantly higher (P <0.01) than those in T1 (control). Moreover, T3 was significantly higher (P<0.01) T2. A positive MRR of 53% to 64% was obtained in supplemented groups than those in T1. Goats, best performed when supplemented with more concentrates on T3 than T2. Thus, T3 and T2 could be used as supplements for best weight gain and economic return.
